First and foremost let me congratulate the juniors for their
efforts to publish a blog, to communicate whatever they want to share
with the Lasallian Family. We, today, live in a world of information. Trillions
of information is passed on in a split second and access to this information is
easy and simple. Sometime people are confused as what to believe and what to
discard. It seems that most of the stuff passed on is detrimental to the
well being of humanity. I would like to call that type of information
“misinformation or rubbish”, and it could specially corrupt the minds and
hearts of the young ones. In this commotion, we who are responsible to guide
the young in the correct path, that is to give them a Christian and Human
education, should strengthen our network of communication in order to curb the
harmful effects of immoral communication of misinformation.
The most wonderful and profound piece of information which
we have to communicate is the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ. The season of
Easter, which we have just begun, calls us to find out ways and means to pass
on this Salvific Message. “Jesus is Risen from the dead and He is ALIVE”, is
the gist of the information we pass on to our generation.
Unlike in other forms of communication where they use very
modern electronic gadgets to pass the message to their audience, our medium of
communication of the message is none other than our own selves. Our lives
become the message only when we carry in us that life-changing experience of
meeting the Risen Christ in our Emmaus Journeys.
While thanking the owner of the vineyard for sending a good
number of young lads to our formation houses, we the Brothers of the District
should never forget to travel and accompany these young ones during their
formative stages. Yes, it should be our responsibility and joy. Our own stories
of faith will give them necessary strength and direction. This journeying
together with hearts full of elation surely will attract more young people to
join us.
May this blog site be a medium of communication of true
joy and happiness and enlighten our readers of our way of Being Brothers in La
Salle.

Happy Reading...
